Our moving sale begins this Tues., 5/10/11 and continues with deeper discounts through 5/28/11.  All regularly priced items in the store will be sold at the discounts listed below.  Items previously marked as clearance are still 40% off. 

  • Tues., 5/10/11 - Sat., 5/14/11 = 20% discount
  • Tues., 5/17/11 - Sat., 5/21/11 = 30% discount
  • Tues., 5/24/11 - Sat., 5/28/11 = 40% discount

This is our last scheduled day of business in Ambler.

I have done a lot of soul-searching in the past few months and have come to a decision. The result is that Reed's Beads will move out of Ambler and solely online in the end of May.  Saturday 05/28/11 will be our last day.  My plan is to downsize our inventory and begin offering the more unique items we have become known for online.

I am planning on moving some of our existing stock (beads, findings, etc.) and finished jewelry to our website and our Etsy store.  Listing and photographing items for sale online is an ongoing process.  I will add new items as well as providing the more unique items that Reed's Beads is known for.  You can be confident that the items available online will reflect the quality that was available at the brick and mortar store.

I am also developing some new classes and kits this summer.  I will still be available for parties, classes, repairs, and custom jewelry design services, but now I can come to you.  These services will be available by appointment.  I am looking forward to providing you a more personalized beading experience, however, this option won't be available until we move out of Ambler.  I will send out further information so that you can take advantage of these services.  In the meantime, please call or email me if you have any questions. 

I will be sending you details about our clearance sale next week.  ALSO - you CAN use existing Busy Beader Card points during the sale and will continue to accrue more throughout it.  So, if you have a completed card, you can add your 10% discount to the sale discount.  However, once we close the door at 32 North Main Street, Busy Beader Card points expire.  I will not be using them online.

So anyway, I bought a whole lot of interesting shapes of cultured freshwater pearls including coin, keshi, faceted, potatoes, rice, etc., in amazing colors.  See below.  Ahhhhh.....  Now to make something with them.  When is that going to happen?  Have to tag the new stones, glass, silver, etc.  Hopefully soon.

I am also looking forward to helping out next door tomorrow at Sweet Bytes.  They're also hosting a fundraiser for Haiti tomorrow from 9-3.  They inspired me to host our fundraiser.  Their event is breakfast ($8) and a tax-deductible donation to the Clinton Bush Haiti Fund in your name ($5) for a total $13.  I get to run the cash register!!  Woo hoo!  You can be glad I'm not cooking.  Just ask my husband. 

Hopefully we'll see you tomorrow!  It's also the last day for all of us to ogle and drool over Nancy Tobey's beautiful beads.  Boo hiss.  Have a great weekend everyone.

We got in a bunch of new and restocked pearls, semi-precious, and glass strands.  The pictures below show the semi-precious and pearls.

We have gotten some new inventory recently.  Some new stones, some new and restocked seed beads, sticky bead mats, the new Step by Step Wire Jewelry, and a few Thai silver restocks.
